Me

About me

I am currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, under the joint supervision of Professor Ioannis Emiris and Dr Yannis Avrithis. My PhD is part of GRAPES, a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network. I am also affiliated with the ATHENA Research Center.

During my PhD, I interned at Meta London, where I had the chance to work with Andrea Vedaldi, David Novotny and Filippos Kokkinos. I was also very lucky to do an internship at Stanford University, working with Despoina Paschalidou and Leonidas Guibas.

Previously, I was a Research Engineer at Five, working on topics such as 2D Object Detection and Monocular 3D Object Detection, as well as participating in research projects of the company. I did my Master’s in Data Science at the University of Southampton, and my Undergraduate Diploma in Electronics Engineering at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.

My main interests lie in the field of Deep Learning, trying to find meaningful representations for 3D data.
